The Soccer Institute Elite Summer Academy

The Elite Summer Academy is a comprehensive summer training program for advanced players ages 12 - 16.  Enrollment is limited to 24 players per week.

THE PROGRAM:
The Elite Summer Academy is a comprehensive developmental training program designed to offer advanced level players a training environment that will improve their technical, tactical, physical, and mental approach to the game with the goal of providing them the tools to reach their potential.

For players preparing for Premier level club soccer, High School, or making an Olympic Development Program team, this program is ideal and will catapult a players preparation and chances for success at the next level.

Curriculum:
Advanced Technical (skills) training to correct poor technique, reinforce and repeat proper mechanics and improve the players ability to play under pressure of an opponent and execute skills at GAME SPEED.

Tactical concepts covered include everything from the foundation of 1 v 1 offense and defense to 11-a-side systems and formations.   Players will learn roles within a variety of systems and be functionally trained.
Computer model simulations, video analysis, and "Chalk-board Talks" augment the concepts covered.

Physical training will involve proper running mechanics, flexibility, strength training, endurance, muscle specificity, improving speed, and proper nutrition for an elite level soccer athlete.  It is not "boot camp", we demonstrate the techniques and do some testing, however, we like to preserve players energy for training.

Mental training includes sport psychology, developing a "winning" attitude, communication, team dynamics,  setting and achieving goals, leadership activities and lectures.   We will also cover the college recruitment process, academic requirements (GPA,SAT/ACT), and NCAA rules & regulations.

An evaluation and college recruitment/referral is part of the program.
We make no guarantees that any player attending the program will receive a scholarship...only that we will provide you with the training, preparation, exposure, and opportunity to earn a college scholarship.  We will provide an honest evaluation and guide players toward realistic college choices and serve as a reference to college coaches.

Leisure activities may include the following:  Horseback riding, Jet ski, fishing, swimming, and campfires.
