TSi launches Premier Club Teams in Geauga County, Ohio in 2008 !

"I am pleased to announce that The Soccer Institute has launched the TSi Premier FC with Premier & Travel-Tournament teams for boys and girls U8 - U16" said TSi Director of Coaching - Mark Mallon (a former NCAA Division I collegiate soccer coach at Yale and the University of California who has been director of a 2,800 member soccer club in California).

"We are excited to serve the local players and parents in NE Ohio seeking a quality premier level soccer club in Geauga County and neighboring communities!  Many of our alumni from camps and training expressed an interest in continuing the training and forming a club. "Our goal is to offer the highest quality of coaching available in the United States and develop a model "club family" for our TSi Premier and Travel - Tournament teams" said Director of Coaching & Player Development, Mark Mallon.

The Soccer Institute is a seventy five acre facility fashioned after the traditional european club model with on site indoor and outdoor soccer training facilities and residential accomodations for up to 60 guests in lake front cabins. Dining facilities include a banquet hall seating up to 100 guests and an outdoor pavilion seating 120 for resident campers, teams, parties, and receptions. TSi offers summer camps and hosts weekly TEAM CAMPS and TEAM BUILDING weekends

The Soccer Institute is located in Huntsburg, Ohio located just two miles from (322) Mayfield Road and (528) Madison Road in scenic Geauga County.

TSi "Developmental Training Academy" for U6 - U16 Boys & Girls:

The TSi "Developmental Training Academy" is a year round training and development program for players U6 - U16. This program is designed to provide players at the recreational and travel level an opportunity to receive professional technical and tactical training on a consistent basis while allowing players to compete on local rec or travel teams.   This program provides the benefit of high level coaching and player development training methods without the full commitment and expense of Premier level club soccer.

Andrews Osborne Academy names TSi Director - Mark Mallon Head Soccer Coach

Director of Coaching & Player Development - Mark Mallon was selected by Andrews Osborne Academy to Head new soccer program beginning Fall 2008.  The Andrews Osborne Academy is located in Willoughby, Ohio and offers K-12 day and residential co-ed students the opportunity for a private education with world class facilities and coaching.

The Soccer Institute is retained by West Geauga Soccer Club for Coaching & Player Development clinics!

Director of Coaching & Player Development - Mark Mallon was selected by the WG Soccer club to provide coaching director duties including training travel team coaches, players, and teams beginning Fall 2008.

TSi Elite Summer Academy Camp:

US U20 National Team Goalkeeper joins TSi coaching staff:
"I am very excited to announce that USA National Team Goalkeeper Larry Jackson will be joining the TSi Coaching Staff for summer camp the week of June 16-20, 2008. This is a great opportunity for youth and high school goalkeepers in the Northeast Ohio area to attend camp and work closely with one of the nation's finest goalkeepers"..said TSi Director of Coaching Mark Mallon (a former Yale and University of California Men's collegiate soccer coach).

Facilities Update...

A new soccer field and installation of a heating system and carpeted flooring in the indoor training center....

Indoor Soccer Arena:
A new carpeted flooring surface was installed in the TSI Indoor Soccer Training Center in October 2007.   A new 200,000 BTU Radiant Heating System was installed on November 7, 2007 by "Town & Country" Owner Tim Copfer.
"The new floor and heating system allow us to offer year round inclement weather individual and team training as well providing us with a warm space for Winter Skills Training Programs and Indoor League."

Field Renovation:
Ground breaking excavation began April 20, 2007. The TSI new full soccer field was completed with finish grading and seeding in the Fall!   Additional field space is being developed for future expansion. The new field will be on line for 2009 Summer Camps and Elite Academy.

Director of Coaching & Player Development, Mark Mallon says "The new field will provide a great venue for summer camps, team training, league play, hosting of TSI Showcase Tournaments and the Elite Summer Academy program."

LA Rose Paving completed paving of the Upper driveway from 17445 Huntley Road street entrance to the wooden bridge in November 2006!

Sysco Foods selected as the primary supplier of food services for TSI.

All Decked Out owner Bill Spreitzer completed construction of the Soccer Kick-Wall in May 2007.

Deer Valley Campus - Residence remodel project:
All Decked Out owner Bill Spreitzer "The Ultimate Handyman" completed the interior remodel of the residence at DVC in August 2005. The residence received a complete make-over including cherry hard wood floors, a redesigned kitchen with custom cherry cabinets, replacement of every wall, ceiling, lighting fixture and plumbing appliance, a master bath was added, and the brick fireplace is now stone. The residence remodel will be completed by March 15, 2008 with natural tone vinyl siding to match the natural landscape.

Director - Mark Mallon receives WCU Alumni Soccer Award
West Chester University Men's Head Soccer Coach - Kendall Walkes (pictured on left) honors WCU all-America Mark Mallon class of '85 with the Chris Jones Memorial Alumni Award in recognition of his dedication and long-standing service to the game of soccer. "We are pleased to recognize Mark Mallon for his distinquished career ..having coached at Yale, UC Berkeley, the Olympic Development Program, and all levels of youth soccer in NJ, CT, CA, and now Ohio, where he recently founded The Soccer Institute."
